Maroochy River Dredging and Beach Replenishment Works has commenced!
Neumann Dredging have been awarded a Channel Maintenance and Beach Nourishment project with the Sunshine Coast Council. The project involves the dredging of 70,000 m3 of marine sands from the Maroochy River mouth and placing the material up to 2,000 metres away on the beaches between Maroochydore SLSC and Alexandra Headland SLSC.
“The work will involve our 450mm cutter suction dredge, the Nu Endeavour and will commence in June. We are currently setting up the pipeline and equipment and look forward to getting the dredging operation started. This is a project that is being undertaking on a popular waterway with the material being placed on a beach that is also very popular with locals and tourists alike. We have been working closely with the Sunshine Coast Council and in particular with the public’s safety and amenity in mind.”
Advises David Neumann of Neumann Dredging.
The project will take approx. 3 months to complete.
